Come along and join us!

Come and join one of the friendliest orchestras in the area!

We do not have a formal audition process. Instead, you are warmly invited to attend two or three rehearsals to play with us and meet existing members. Our wind section is currently fully subscribed, however we are in particular need of brass players. We also need more lower strings (cellos and double bass) and a regular percussion player.

Musical qualifications are not a requirement but a standard equivalent to Grade 5 or above is probably necessary to play most of the music we tackle.

We rehearse at Chilcott Gardens, Bridgnorth Road, Madeley on Monday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm (with a break half way through for refreshments)

...in advance of our 150th anniversary!

In preparation for the orchestra’s 150th. anniversary in two years time members have made a start on sorting 150 years of music in the orchestra’s library, including handwritten transcripts going back to the 1860s, some of which will be included in forthcoming concerts.
